After 4 years of location issues, covid lockdowns, financing holdups, and well...more location issues Arkain finally opened its doors December 1st 2023.With no membership or table usage fees we try to provide an accessible and safe playing space for the community supporting a broad range of games and trying to keep the small town heart in mind. I was born and raised in Ingersoll and my generation largely fled for lack of anything to do but I hope to be a part of changing that.

In our first year to date we have started getting groups of TTRPG players with multiple
D&D sessions happening in store per week, and semi-regular gatherings of board gamers who put out the call in Discord to gather players. Our Friday Night Magic has a steady crowd and we have smaller budding playgroups in wargaming and Star Wars Unlimited. We
would like to encourage and support whatever people are willing to play and to that end also have an open-order system where we can look into ordering games we do not have in stock provided it is available through our distribution network.

There are still times when I can’t believe this is my life now and the reality hits fresh, but I have big plans for the future of the shop and intend for this to be my life’s work.
